Details about the template CSV file

Caution You may get errors if you edit your CSV text file in Excel and then try to upload it to the template. Digi recommends editing the CSV text file in a different spreadsheet editor. See Details about the CSV text file for more information.

The CSV text file you download is pre-populated with some information based on the settings you configured to be site-specific and the devices in the group associated with the template.

  • Each row represents one device.

  • The first two columns identify the device.

    • Key_type - Uses either the device_id or device_name setting, whichever one is populated. If both are populated, the device_name setting is used.

    • Key_value - Parameter of the setting defined in the key-type column.

  • Each subsequent column represents one setting that you configured to be site-specific.
