About device limits

Device limits control the maximum number of devices that can be registered within an account hierarchy.

  • Setting a device limit on a subaccount ensures that the subaccount, and any of its descendant subaccounts, cannot collectively exceed the specified number of devices.

  • The total number of devices across all descendant accounts cannot exceed the device limit of the parent account.

Bundle devices exception

For Digi 360 devices, Digi Remote Manager does not enforce the top-level parent account's device limit, provided the device has not previously been registered under a different top-level account.

As a result, if all of your devices are Digi 360 devices, you do not need to be concerned with the device limit configured on the top-level parent account. You can still configure device limits on subaccounts to control device usage within your account hierarchy.

Note If your account contains a mix of Digi 360 devices and non-Digi 360 devices, the displayed device limit usage may not immediately reflect the actual number of devices in your account. In some cases, it can take up to 24 hours for the device count and limit calculations to fully synchronize.
