New 5G Cellular Vehicle Router

  • We are excited to introduce the latest addition to our router portfolio, the TX65. This family of routers are rugged 5G vehicle routers delivering secure, high-performance connectivity and centralized management for fleet, transit and public safety applications.

Refer to digi.com for an overview, specifications, and other information about these routers. Check out the user guide for information about hardware installation and DAL OS firmware configuration.

Enhancements

  • New APN setting. The new APN push timeout setting allows you to set the amount of time, in seconds, that you want the system to wait while the device tries all the APNs in the Custom list in order to establish a connection with the network. If the device fails to make a connection using the APNs in the Custom list, then it will cycle through the Built-in list. To configure, see the Configure a Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) in your product-specific DAL OS user guide.
  • CLI login notification. A new CLI login notification has been added to alert users when a device is not registered with Digi Remote Manager. This notification is displayed upon logging into the CLI, helping users quickly identify devices that are not currently managed through Digi Remote Manager.

  • [IX25] Updated Cellular WWAN LED. The Cellular WWAN LED behavior on the IX25 has been updated. When connected to a 4G or 5G network, the Cellular WWAN LED will now flash only when the signal strength is at 1 bar. For information about the LED lights and their behavior, see the LED lights topic in the IX25 DAL OS user guide.

  • [IX25] Add an additional Ethernet port to your IX25. Attach a USB-to-Ethernet adapter to your IX25's USB-C port to expand from 4 ports to 5. You can do everything with the new Ethernet port that you can do with the native ports. To set up and configure, see Add an Ethernet interface using your device's USB-C port in the IX25 DAL OS user guide.
