Register a device

You must register your device so it appears in your Devices list:

  1. Log in to Digi Remote Manager.

  2. In the header navigation menu, in the Account dropdown list, select the account to which you want to add the device.

    If you are creating a brand new Digi Remote Manager account, it is automatically selected for you.

  3. From the left navigation menu, click Devices.

  4. Click Register Devices.

    A dialog box displays.

    • Click the Single Device tab to upload the information for a single device

    • Click the Multiple Devices tab to update the information for multiple devices.

    Tip The following procedure explains how to use the QR code on the product label sticker to populate the MAC Address and Default Device Identifier fields. Alternatively, you can manually add this information. If you do, note that if your device has both a MAC address and IMEI number, use the MAC address.

    1. On the Single Device tab, click .

    2. Hold the product label sticker and wait for the MAC Address and Default Device Identifier fields to populate.

    3. (Optional) In Device Name, add a unique name that will allow you to quickly identify this device in a list of devices.

    4. (Optional) In Group, select the group in which you want to add the device.

    5. In Reseller, select the company from which this device was purchased.

    6. Click More Options to add notes or tag information.

    7. Click Add Device.

    Tip Prepare your CSV file ready before proceeding. Make sure you understand the details you need to have in your CSV file, download the example CSV file to use for your device data, if desired, and save the file in a place on your computer that is easily accessible for upload to Digi Remote Manager.

    1. On the Multiple Devices tab, click Choose File.

    2. File Explorer/Finder opens.

      Browse and find the CSV file containing the information for all the devices you want to register.

    3. (Optional) Click the checkbox to enable Update existing devices if you want to update the information of devices that have already been added to Digi Remote Manager with new information listed in the CSV file.

      Note If you are registering a device to a new account, you do not need to enable this option.

    4. Click Add Devices.

    The device (s) is registered and will appear in the Devices list. It may also take several minutes before the device status shows that it is online.

    Tip If the devices you register do not appear in the list, click to refresh the list.
