About the WAN bonding server license key
Tip You only need a server license key if you are implementing your own WAN bonding server (a self-hosted or 3rd-party-managed bonding infrastructure). If you’re using Digi’s hosted WAN Bonding service, a separate license key is not required — bonding is automatically managed and authorized through your Digi Remote Manager subscription.
A WAN Bonding license key is a feature entitlement code that enables your Digi Remote Manager account (and its associated devices) to use WAN bonding. Think of it as a digital activation certificate for the bonding service.
You need a WAN Bonding license key when you’re setting up a self-hosted WAN bonding server, rather than using a hosted server option.
If you are using a self-hosted WAN bonding server, you need the license key to:
-
Activate WAN Bonding support in your DRM account for self-managed servers.
-
Authorize your devices to connect to your designated bonding server.
-
Enables DRM to recognize and manage bonded tunnels associated with your private server.
Digi Remote Manager uses the license key to validate that your organization is entitled to operate a private WAN bonding environment.
You can copy the WAN bonding license key in Digi Remote Manager on the Subscriptions page in the WAN bonding card.
