About WAN bonding licenses

A Digi WAN Bonding license is an entitlement that enables the WAN bonding feature within Digi Remote Manager (DRM) and supported Digi devices. The license governs:

  • Whether the WAN bonding feature is available to your devices,

  • Whether you can use Digi’s hosted bonding service or your own private bonding server, and

  • The scope (number of devices, performance limits, duration) of your bonding deployment.

As an administrator, you can add WAN bonding licenses to any account - or sub accounts - for which you manage as long as that sub account has valid WAN bonding entitlement licenses available.

You can then assign WAN bonding licenses in that account to their devices by using one of the following methods:

  • Selecting a group in which those devices belong

  • Selecting a tag used to identify a particular set of devices

  • Selecting one device.

Caution Make sure you are assigning a WAN bonding license to the correct device. Once a license is assigned to a device, you cannot assign it to a different one. If you assign a license to the wrong device, contact Digi Technical Support using one of the methods outlined on the Contact Support page.
