Network and firewall requirements

AI assistant integrations with Digi Remote Manager rely on outbound HTTPS communication to the hosted MCPClosed Model Context Protocol server, and require appropriate network and firewall configuration to function correctly.

Consider the following:

  • Outbound HTTPS access to remotemanager.digi.com on TCP port 443 is required.

  • No inbound firewall rules are needed.

  • The MCP bridge runs locally on the user’s system and securely forwards requests to Digi Remote Manager over HTTPS.
