AI assistant integration enables customers, partners, and MSPClosed Managed Service Providers to connect AIClosed Artificial Intelligience assistants and AI agents directly to their Digi Remote Manager accounts using the Digi MCPClosed Model Context Protocol server. This integration allows natural-language and agent-driven interaction with device fleets, telemetry, alerts, automations, and operational workflows without building or maintaining custom REST APIClosed Application Programming Interface integrations.

The Digi Remote Manager MCP server is a hosted, Digi-managed endpoint that exposes Digi Remote Manager capabilities in a standardized, AI-native format. Any AI assistant or agent framework that supports the MCP standard can connect securely using API key authentication and immediately begin interacting with Digi Remote Manager resources.

Primary users include:

  • Developers and partners building AI Agents for automated device management and operations

  • MSPs managing fleets across multiple customer accounts

  • Network engineers, administrators, and technical support teams using LLM tools such as Claude Desktop or ChatGPT for daily operational tasks

  1. Digi hosts an MCP server at https://remotemanager.digi.com/mcp.

  1. You generate an API key in Digi Remote Manager.

  2. An MCP-compatible AI client connects to the MCP server over HTTPS using the API key.

  3. The AI assistant automatically discovers available Digi Remote Manager tools.

  4. User prompts or AI Agent logic invokes Digi Remote Manager tools to retrieve data or perform operations.

All security, authentication, rate limiting, and updates are managed by Digi. No customer-hosted infrastructure is required.

Once connected, AI assistants can interact with Digi Remote Manager using natural language or structured agent workflows.
