For Digi devices that run DAL OS

Digi’s DAL OS firmware for Digi devices provides a managed, secure embedded operating system foundation that supports scheduled and ad-hoc updates to ensure device integrity and performance over time. DAL OS firmware can be updated both locally and remotely: administrators can updates using the web UI or command line interface, or centrally at scale using Digi Remote Manager Templates and/or Automation features to push new firmware versions across one or many devices simultaneously. Digi Remote Manager also allows administrators to manage firmware versioning, automate firmware update workflows, and maintain consistent deployment of firmware updates across the fleet. Prior to updating, best practices include backing up device configurations, verifying network connectivity, and planning for device reboots that will occur during the update process. Digi Remote Manager can be used to check for, download, and install the latest approved DAL OS firmware versions.
