Methods for adding an activation code to a device

Digi Remote Manager provides two ways to add an activation code to an eSIM-capable device:

  • Select an existing activation code from a list when they have already been uploaded to Digi Remote Manager.

  • Manually enter an activation code from the carrier when you want to add it directly while provisioning a device.

Method comparison

Method 1: Select from List

Method 2: Enter Activation Code

How it works
  • You choose an activation code from the DRM list.

  • Digi Remote Manager uses that code to download the carrier profile to the selected device.

How it works
  • You manually enter the activation code in DRM.

  • Digi Remote Manager sends the information to the device so it can download the carrier profile.

Best for:

  • Teams managing multiple devices

  • Deployments using bulk-imported activation codes

  • Reusing centrally managed code inventory (where available)

Best for:

  • One-off device activations

  • Testing or pilots

  • Situations where codes are not preloaded into Digi Remote Manager

Considerations:

  • The activation code you select must be Available (not already used).

  • If the code shows Downloaded, it has already been used to obtain a profile and may not be reusable.

Considerations:

  • Make sure the activation code is entered exactly as provided (including special characters, if present).

  • If the attempt fails, the activation code may need troubleshooting or re-validation.
