Edit a template

Edit a template when you need to change the configuration, whether the change was due to an error in the settings that were previously saved or there are new settings you want to add. You can edit the configuration, modem firmware version, containers, and automations.

You cannot change the firmware version in a template. If you need to upgrade the firmware on all the devices the template controls, see Copy a configuration to a new template.

1. Click Templates.

2. In the list, click the template you want to change.

3. In the pane that appears, click any of tabs to make changes.

   Note Some of the tabs may be disabled because the setting was not needed or configured.

   • Status - The template is not enabled. No devices are currently being scanned or remediated by the template.

   • Cellular Modem Firmware - The devices associated with the template do not have any attached peripheral modems that need upgraded, or the devices do not support modem updates via a template.

   • Containers - You do not have this feature or, if you do have this feature, you did not associate any containers with the template.

4. Click Save.

   The changes you made to the template are saved.
